The hot rod is the one owned by Bob McGee (mo’s dad who was known as Robert through most her life).  Now you know where Robert comes from but the hot rod was sold before moving to Hawaii when mo  was born.   It has been on the cover of hot rod magazine 7 times . . . the first time with Bob driving on the USC campus where he played football.  mo’s mom is Annie . . . the  raggedy ann !!  The rug is styled after the indian rug mo grew up with and still has !  And of course recycle !! Re-use whenever possible !!!  Plus who could forget the rock wall perfect for climbing !!!

This was the second illustration of the book . . the first one not redone.  mo found her style with this illustration !  And a re-do of the first illustration followed suit !!  Oh by the way, that was the letter ‘K‘ she thought it would create problems being such a flat landscape and so active . . .. so she jumped in with both feet  !!
